How to Create an Account

• Click on the link on the home page that says "Don't Have an Account? Sign Up Now!"
• Fill in all required information and hit "Sign Up."
• From there you can create/edit your profile to your liking.

How do I add color and graphic to my profile page?

• Adding color and graphics to your profile page is easy and requires only a basic knowledge of HTML (the programming language used to create web pages on the Internet). Simply go to Edit Profile and enter the desired HTML coding where appropriate. If you do not know HTML, you can reach out and make a new friend by asking someone who has color and or graphics on their profile page how they did it. People on IWF are friendly and always willing to help, so just ask! This is a great way to meet new people!

How do I set my profile to private?

• The privacy option under Account Settings - Privacy Settings. Please note that this is a public website, and you should be careful about what information you put on the internet. Please check out our Safety Tips section for more information about safety on the internet!

How do I change my default picture?

• On your profile page, simply go to Edit Profile and look for Avatar and Browse for an image. Once you have found the image that you want to upload, simply click ok. Your new image will appear immediately.

I'm trying to upload an image, and I am getting an error message... what is wrong?

• First, make sure the image you are attempting to upload is in one of the formats IWF accepts (.gif, .jpg).
• Next, make sure the filename is simple and short, with no spaces or funny characters. "Image.jpg" is a good file name; "Me with the crew! Drinking some Malibu : ).jpg" is probably not going to work.
• Next, make sure the filename is less than 600k. We do not allow images over 600k.
• If none of these things work, it's possible that the image is corrupted. Luckily there is an easy solution. Go to http://www.download.com and download a copy of the software program IrfanView. IT'S FREE and you can use it to resize images so they're less than 600k, or resave images that may be corrupted.
• Once you have downloaded and installed IrfanView, simply run the program, open your .gif, or .jpg image, and resave it as another version (example: in IrfanView, open file named pic01.jpg, and resave it as pic01b.jpg). Then, simply return to IWF and upload your newly resaved image.

Someone on IWF is bugging/harassing/threatening me - what can I do about it?

• The best thing to do if and when you encounter such a situation is simply ignore them... 99.9% of the time they will soon leave you alone. Remember, you can always remove the person from your Friend List (they will then no longer be able to add Comments to your Profile page), delete any Comments they leave on your Profile page, and you can even delete any messages they send you via the IWF Mail system without opening them. By NOT responding to offending user (i.e., NOT giving them any attention, NOT letting them get a "rise" out of you), most people will simply go away.
• You may also view their profile and click "Block User", which will prevent them from contacting you. Annoying people get bored very fast when you don't allow them to annoy you. If someone threatens you, contact law enforcement immediately.
• If they created a nasty profile about you or someone you know, you can contact customer service (and make sure to include the link to the profile!)

Bulletins are being posted through my account that I didn't post!

• Please change your password and be sure that you are always logging into IWF. Please report any phishing websites to IWF.

I think someone compromised my account, I can't log in, and things look different!

• First, try to retrieve the password for your account through the Password Retrieval Tool. Once you get your password, you can log into your account and change the password to your account. Make sure the password for your MySpace.com account is never the same for your email account!
• Next, make sure that someone didn't leave a comment on your page that could have altered the page.
• If you can't log into your account at all, and you aren't receiving the password for your account, we will need a confirmation from you so that we can verify you are the owner of the profile. Make sure to not post your salute in a public place, and send the web address of your salute and your profile IWF.

How do I report an error?

• Please send an email to support@inwithfitness.com if you encounter an error page or message. Please include a description of what you were doing when you received the error as well as a copy of the error. (Copy and paste into the email description.)

How do I become an Advisor?

• Our process is fairly simple, however we must ensure that you have some type of qualification. When you apply to become an advisor (Advisors Page) our team of professionals will determine whether or not you are qualified. If you are, you will receive a welcome email.

How do I upload music to my page?

• IWF does not allow music to be posted to profile pages.

How do I add a Blog post?

• At the top menu bar, scroll over My Account and click Add New Blog Post.
• Title your post, select a category and type your message.
• If you want to upload an image simply Browse and upload the image.
• Click Save and Finish.

How do I add an Article

• Only advisors can add articles to IWF.
• At the top menu bar, scroll over My Account and click Add New Article.
• Title your article, select a category and type your article.
• If you want to upload an image simply Browse and upload the image.
• Click Save and Finish.
