These are the fundamental questions of nutrition. Metabolic Typing is the science of personalized nutrition.

Most people assume that it is the qualities of food that is necessary when in reality it is the quality of food in relation to our bodies that really makes a difference. "Healthy" is the word we choose to use for naturally better foods yet that food is only "healthy" if it has a balancing effect on ones body.

The theory of Metabolic Typing analylzes 10 systems within the body that people believe to control all the behavior of the millions of chemical reactions that occur in your body.  To be actually healthy would be discovering where your 10 systems lie. This is done by series of tests to the oxidation systems and autonomic nervous system etc.  Your then placed in one of two classifications; fast oxidative and slow oxidative, building a picture of your body's behavior. You then must eat the foods and nutrients that seek to balance these behaviors while avoiding nutrients that will disrupt the system.

Can you imagine knowing the exact foods to eat and foods not to eat to live a PERFECTLY healthy life? That would definately be a useful tool in your tool box!
